Emma Watson is all of us. She loved the live-action “Beauty and the Beast” so much that she already has ideas for a potential sequel.
“I would love to do a sequel!” the actress told Access Hollywood at the premiere of her new movie, “The Circle.” “I always thought that Belle would become a teacher and she would run the library in the castle and open it up to the village.”
“Beauty and the Beast” starred Watson as Belle, Dan Stevens as The Beast, Josh Gad, Luke Evans, Ian McKellen, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor and Stanley Tucci.
It has become a box office phenomenon since it opened in March. After grossing $174 million in its opening weekend, the film has since grossed $473 million domestically and $1.1 billion worldwide. It broke several records, including top domestic opening of all time for a film rated PG, the No. 7 launch of all time for any movie and biggest debut of all time for a female-fueled film.
Directed by Bill Condon, the film received mostly positive reviews, with many critics praising Watson’s performance as the classic Disney character.
Watson currently stars in “The Circle,” which opened in the U.S. on Friday and also stars Tom Hanks, John Boyega and Karen Gillan.
