Eminem, Royce da 5’9″ and the Michigan Crew Drop ‘Detroit Vs. Everybody’ (Video)

Slim Shady takes lyrical shots at Adrian Peterson — among others — in new single off “Shady XV”

Eminem continues to prove that hip-hop is colorblind, which perhaps explains why the rapper released his newest music video in black-and-white.

For “Detroit Vs. Everybody” — which dropped via Vevo on Friday — Slim Shady welcomes Royce da 5’9″, Big Sean, Danny Brown, Def Loaf and Trick Trick to help lyrically strike the fear in anyone outside of the Michigan city’s borders.

In usual Marshall Mathers fashion, the emcee has some pop culture fun with his highly advanced lyrics. At one point during his verse — the final one on the track, of course — Eminem spits:

“You crazy for me to flip/What’s makin’ you think I need a switch? Cause I’m Adrian Peterson/When he’s raging and heated and on the way to go beat his kid/On the track get spanked like he just did.”

You’re off the hook for now, Ray Rice.

Finally, based on the title and its roster, take a wild guess where the music video is set. (Spoiler alert: It’s Motor City.)
