“Jungle Cruise” stars Emily Blunt, Dwayne Johnson and Jack Whitehall hit Johnson’s Iron Paradise home gym together to work out, which resulted in a round of hilarious smack talk.
“The cast that trains together, stays together!” Blunt says in Johnson’s Instagram video, as she introduces him, as he finishes his 200th rep. The camera then pans to Whitehall, who is busy working out his outer thighs. That’s when things get ugly.
Blunt and Whitehall mimic Johnson by talking about “no pain, no gain” and “shakes,” which prompts The Rock to bring up Quidditch and Mary Poppins, a character that Blunt is set to play in “Mary Poppins Returns” in December.
But the group workout quickly turns civil again, with Johnson, Blunt and Whitehall hugging it out, with too much “wetness” and sweatiness going around.
“Jungle Cruise” is currently filming and is based on Disneyland’s theme park ride where a small boat takes travelers through a jungle filled with dangerous creatures. Jaume Collet-Serra is directing the film, which also stars Jesse Plemons, Paul Giamatti and Edgar Ramirez.
The adventure film will hit theaters on Oct. 11, 2019.
