Emilie de Ravin doesn’t seem to have much luck with plane flights.
The “Lost” alum went on a Twitter tirade Thursday, asking American Airlines to fire an employee who she says grabbed her forcefully.
“Dear @AmericanAir I was grabbed forcefully, my carry on bag ripped out of my hand @ lax this morning by AA employee,” the actress wrote.
Identifying the employee as “Antoinette,” the actress continued, “Please kindly dismiss this woman from @americanair employment.”
De Ravin, who gave birth to her first child, Vera, in March, added that her pilot was “very kind and helpful and apologetic,” but nonetheless asserted, “However there is NO excuse 4 physical force being used on someone trying to take her breast pump carry on. NOT OK.
“Apart from this incident and DISCUSTING [sic] woman, thank you for a smooth and safe flight,” de Ravin concluded.
“We’re looking into this incident and we certainly apologize to the customer for any inconvenience. We allow breast pumps to be carried onto and used on the aircraft,” an American Airlines spokesperson told TheWrap. “In fact, we consider them medical devices, so a breast pump bag does not count toward the allotment of one carry on bag and one personal item per customer.”
