Pamela Anderson is suiting up for “Baywatch” one more time.
Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson announced on Instagram Friday that Anderson would join the film version of the 1990’s TV series, in which Anderson famously starred. He did not, however, specify if she’s playing her old character.
“She introduced the world to ‘CJ Parker’ and became one of the most iconic characters of a generation – for the most successful TV show of all time,” Johnson wrote in the caption of a photo of him and Anderson on the set.
“A pleasure to welcome (as gorgeous as ever) Pamela Anderson to our #BAYWATCH cast,” he continued. “We couldn’t have made this movie without you. Welcome home. Thrilled you had a blast with us!”
Johnson announced back in March that David Hasselhoff, who also starred on the original show, would be appearing in the movie as well.
Johnson stars in the film alongside Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario, Priyanka Chopra, Kelly Rohrbach and Hannibal Buress.
The story follows a veteran lifeguard (Johnson) who is forced to team up with a younger lifeguard (Efron) to save the beach from an environmental disaster.
Damian Shannon and Mark Swift wrote the screenplay, while Beau Flynn and Ivan Reitman are producing. Seth Gordon will direct.
“Baywatch” is looking at a May 19, 2017 release date.
