Sony released the first trailer for “Hotel Transylvania 2” on Wednesday, and the hilarity is monstrous.
The animated sequel picks up where the 2012 original left off, with Dracula (Adam Sandler) thrilled that his daughter Mavis (Selena Gomez) now lives at the hotel with her infant son, Dennis.
But when Mavis and husband Jonathan (Andy Samberg) decide they want to raise Dennis in a more normal environment, Drac enlists the help of his spooky buddies to bring out the boys’ inner-vampire so Mavis and Jonathan will be forced to stay.
The film also features the voices of Steve Buscemi, Keegan-Michael Key, David Spade and Mel Brooks, as ancient vampire Vlad. Genndy Tartakovsky returned to direct the sequel, with Sandler and Robert Smigel writing the screenplay.
“Hotel Transylvania 2” creeps into theaters on September 25.
