2025’s exciting, packed TV schedule continues to deliver with “Dope Thief.” Created and executive produced by Peter Craig (“The Batman,” “The Town”), the new limited series is a crime drama about two men whose plan for an illegal payday quickly spirals out of control. What is “Dope Thief” about?

Based on a novel of the same name by author Dennis Tafoya, “Dope Thief” follows a pair of longtime Philadelphia friends and delinquents who decide to pose as DEA agents in order to rob a house in the Pennsylvania countryside. Their small-time con becomes a life-and-death operation, however, when they unexpectedly uncover the largest secret drug trafficking route on the Eastern seaboard.

“Dope Thief” is led by Wagner Moura (“Narcos”) and Brian Tyree Henry (“Atlanta”), who play its central friends.
