Michael Moore thinks Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States.
“I think Trump is going to win. I’m sorry,” Moore said to boos on HBO’s “Real Time With Bill Maher” Wednesday night.
“Boo if you want. I am glad you’re saying it… the enemy is complacency,” Maher responded. “He certainly could win.”
Moore discussed that Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, and Pennsylvania could determine the general election.
“Mitt Romney lost by 64 electoral votes,” Moore said. “The total electoral votes of those four states in the Rust Belt: 64.”
He compared those four states to the middle of England, and said that Trump impressed residents during the Michigan primary.
“I live in Michigan. Let me tell you: it’s going to be the Brexit strategy,” Moore said.
Earlier this year, Moore and Maher pledged to take down Donald Trump before he reaches the White House in November. Moore supported Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary.
“You and I are going to take him down. You and I,” Moore told Maher in May. “No, seriously. This is the end of Donald Trump. He is not going to the White House. You tell me where to show up, I’ll be there.”
