Trump Mocks ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ at National Prayer Breakfast: ‘Pray for Arnold’ (Video)

President Donald Trump used his time speaking at Thursday’s National Prayer Breakfast to mock Arnold Schwarzenegger and ratings for “Celebrity Apprentice.”

“When I ran for president, I had to leave the show,” Trump said. “They hired a big, big movie star Arnold Schwarzenegger to take my place and we know how that turned out. The ratings went right down the tubes.”

POTUS continued at the ordinarily solemn annual event: “It’s been a total disaster.”

Trump said that the show’s producer Mark Burnett will “never bet against Trump again,” before asking the crowd at the Washington Hilton to “pray for Arnold.”

“The New Celebrity Apprentice” continued to slip in the ratings last week, with the series hitting a new season.

Airing from 8 p.m.-10 p.m. on NBC, the series averaged a 1.0 rating in the key adults 18-49 demographic and 3.8 million viewers. That is down just under 16 percent in the key demo and just under 12 percent in total viewers compared two weeks ago, when the show had actually improved from the week before.

“The Bachelor” on ABC beat the show handily in both hours, averaging a 2.4 rating and 7.3 million viewers from 8-10.
