Donald Trump and Jeb Bush Bro Out in 2nd GOP Debate: Wrap Trends (Video)

TheWrap’s Jordan Burchette performs a post-mortem on the debate of the dead

CNN hosted the second GOP presidential debate on Wednesday at a running time of over three hours, a candidate count of 11 and a tally of viewers no more informed about those candidates of nearly 23 million.

Broadcast from the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, and hosted by CNN’s Jake Tapper, the marathon debate was a rousing success for the network, if not democracy.

As with anything in 2015, the story going into the event was Republican frontrunner Donald Trump. But there was plenty of empty, self-important babbling and stiff moments of feigned charisma to go round, including an awkward white-five between Trump and new bud Jeb Bush that was straight out of Lambda Lambda Lambda.

So which of the nearly one dozen candidates came out of the night on top? Or was CNN Wednesday’s only real winner? Watch the latest Wrap Trends for more!
