A historic day in the United States set the media a buzz Friday as the Supreme Court ruled to legalize same-sex marriage nationwide, striking down bans in all 50 states.
CNN’s openly gay anchor Don Lemon was elated with the court’s decision, pivoting to a social media proposal in response to the ruling.
#SameSexMarriage upheld by Supreme Court. It’s the law of the land. Who wants to marry me?

Fellow gay journalists reacted.
Supreme Court rules right to marriage is a “fundamental right” and same sex couples can’t be deprived of that right

SCOTUS (5-4): same sex marriage is a constitutional right – now legal in ALL 50 states, even those that have made it illegal. THIS IS HUGE.

It’s official: Scalia is the weakest 19th century mind on the Court and the laziest writer.

Yesterday, Scalia wanted to gut law passed by Congress, signed by Prez. Today he’s talking about the court’s “threat to democracy”
