She’s the man! Jodie Whittaker made her explosive entrance as the 13th Time Lord at the end of the “Doctor Who” Christmas special, “Twice Upon a Time,” on Monday and the world is totally ready for the first female Doctor.
Saying farweel to Peter Capaldi was rough for fans who had grown fond of him since his debut as the 12th Doctor in 2013 (but honestly, who hadn’t loved him from the start?), and it was a bittersweet symphony of a goodbye.
Whittaker’s appearance as the next Doctor left viewers in awe, especially after Capaldi’s Time Lord succumbed to the regeneration he’d been fighting for the majority of Season 10. Capaldi delivered one of the most emotional speeches any Time Lord has given on his way out and fans immediately took to social media to immortalize his final words in tweets.
Then it was Whittaker’s time to shine, with the new Time Lord describing her own entry as “brilliant.” But how could the debut of the first lady lead in the show’s 50-plus year run be anything else?
See the best reactions to Whittaker’s entrance and Capaldi’s exit below.

Never be cruel, never be cowardly, and never ever eat pears!
Remember, hate is always foolish, and love is always wise.
Laugh hard, run fast, be kind.Doctor, I let you go.

All you see is the grumps who've said they didn't watch the Christmas special and will never watch again now there's a female Doctor. So how about a quick like or RT if you've actually started watching because of a female Doctor? #doctorwho
