The Democratic National Committee is demanding that GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney condemn Ted Nugent for comments that the "Cat Scratch Fever" singer made to an audience at a National Rifle Association event over the weekend.
During the 2012 annual meeting in St. Louis, Missouri, on Saturday, Nugent suggested that NRA members might consider decapitation over the ballot box in the coming elections, urging them to "ride into the battlefield and chop [Democrats'] heads off in November."

Oh, and he also likened the Obama administration to coyotes who should be shot.
In a statement released through the organization Monday night, DNC chair Debbie Wasserman called on the former Massachusetts governor and the Republican party's presumed candidate to distance himself from Nugent, who has endorsed Romney.

"Mitt Romney surrogate Ted Nugent made offensive comments about President Obama and November’s elections this weekend that are despicable, deplorable and completely beyond the pale," Wasserman said. "He called the administration 'vile,' 'evil' and 'America-hating,' and said much worse. Yet what have we heard from Mitt Romney and the Republican Party, who should be outraged that someone representing them is using language like this to make a political point? Absolutely nothing.
"Romney’s surrogates should know better than to rally the troops with outrageous rhetoric that is unacceptable in our political debate," Wasserman added. "Mitt Romney must condemn Nugent’s violent and hateful rhetoric immediately, as it has no place in our political discourse or this campaign."

Speaking to the NRA, Nugent offered the above epithets and more, claiming that the Obama administration is "wiping its a– with the Constitution."
That wasn't Nugent's only reference to crude biological functions during his lengthy discussion. He also compared the administration to a wild animal in need of being put down.
"If the coyote's in your living room pissing on your couch, it's not the coyote's fault; it's your fault for not shooting him," Nugent said.
The singer/guitarist and firearms enthusiast also offered an ominous prediction for himself, should voters decide to re-elect the incumbent.
"If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will be either be dead or in jail by this time next year,” Nugent said.
