Disney rewarded Comic-Con fans on Thursday with a world premiere of the trailer for “Oz: The Great and Powerful,” Sam Raimi’s upcoming film about the wizard from “The Wizard of Oz.”
The film is an adaptation of L. Frank Baum’s novel, “The Wonderful Wizard of Oz,” published in 1900. It stars James Franco, Mila Kunis, Michelle Williams, Zach Braff and Rachel Weisz.
Raimi explained to the audience that his film tells of origin of Oz and how became such a powerful and influential wizard.
While fans peppered Raimi with questions on minute details about the film – would it have the ruby slippers? – one minor hiccup occurred. A fan accidentally referred to Mila Kunis, who voices Theodora, as a guy.
