“Simpsons” creator Matt Groening’s adult animated fantasy series, “Disenchantment,” has been renewed for a second season by Netflix, with the remainder of Season 1 (which premiered in August) streaming in 2019 and 20 episodes from the second installment rolling out in 2020 and 2021.

“We’re excited to continue this epic journey with Netflix,” creator and executive producer Groening said. “Stay tuned for more cranked-up suspense, infuriating plot twists, and beloved characters getting knocked off.”

Per Netflix, in “Disenchantment,” viewers are whisked away to the crumbling medieval kingdom of Dreamland, where they follow the misadventures of hard-drinking young princess Bean (Abbi Jacobson), her feisty elf companion Elfo (Nat Faxon), and her personal demon Luci (Eric Andre). Along the way, the oddball trio encounter ogres, sprites, harpies, imps, trolls, walruses, and lots of human fools.

The voice cast includes Jacobson, Faxon and Andre, along with John DiMaggio, Billy West, Maurice LaMarche, Tress MacNeille, David Herman, Matt Berry, Jeny Batten, Rich Fulcher, Noel Fielding and Lucy Montgomery.
