"Eastern Promises" writer Steven Knight has gotten a seven-figure promise from Sony.
The studio has agreed to buy the writer's untitled drama project, the logline of which is 
yet to be released, reports ItsontheGrid, a division of TheWrap.
Neal Moritz will produce through his Original Film.

Knight also wrote "Dirty Pretty Things" and "Amazing Grace."
This week, Moritz re-upped his producing deal at Sony. He’ll be there at least through 2015.
