Paramount releases three clips from its upcoming "Dinner for Schmucks," the already once-delayed comedy from Jay Roach, starring Steve Carell and Paul Rudd (clips via the always-on-top-of-it Collider.com).
Despite the winning cast that includes Zach Galifianakis and Jermaine Clement ("Flight of the Conchords"), there's a certain off smell about this comedy.
These clips do little to Febreeze it away. Bad-back slapstick, Galifianakis being Galifianakis, awkward dinner with Carell befuddling some foreigners … nothing new to see here.
We'll reserve the right to be wrong about this one, given the pedigree, but it looks like a dud.
