Neil Patrick Harris is the latest A-Lister to join Michael C. Hall in “Dexter: Resurrection.”
Premiering this summer on Paramount+ with Showtime, the “Dexter” spinoff also stars Uma Thurman, David Zayas, Jack Alcott, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Emilia Suárez, James Remar, Peter Dinklage and Krysten Ritter.
The “How I Met Your Mother” actor will guest star in the role of Lowell, Showtime announced on Tuesday after production began in New York in January.
“Dexter: Resurrection” is executive produced and showrun by original series showrunner Clyde Phillips. Hall also EPs with Scott Reynolds, Tony Hernandez and Lilly Burns, alongside Marcos Siega as producing director with Monica Raymund and Marcos Siega directing. Showtime Studios and Counterpart Studios produce with Paramount Global Content Distribution distributing.
“Resurrection” will be the fourth entry in the “Dexter” universe. The original series ran for eight seasons from 2006-2013 and was followed by “Dexter: New Blood” in 2021. Meanwhile, prequel series “Dexter: Original Sin” wrapped its first season last month.
Upon its December 2024 premiere, “Original Sin” became Showtime’s most-streamed global original series in the last 10 years and the season finale was the show’s most-streamed episode with 2.68 million global viewers.
“Dexter: Resurrection” premieres this summer on Paramount+ with Showtime.
