Best-selling author Deepak Chopra is diving into the podcast world, with his first series set to launch on Cadence13 later this month, the company announced Friday.
“Deepak Chopra’s Infinite Potential” is a weekly, 12-part conversation series that features guests including Jane Goodall and Russell Brand. Chopra will investigate what makes us conscious beings and why it matters that we are.
The alternative medicine and New Age guru will also host “Daily Breath,” a daily guide designed to enlighten, inspire and guide listeners to live positive, creative, connected and productive lives.
“I’m grateful for this opportunity to learn from luminaries in science philosophy arts and innovation in all fields of human inquiry, imagination, creativity and exploration of both our inner and outer worlds,” Chopra told TheWrap. “This is how we participate in our conscious evolution in today’s turbulent times.”
“Deepak Chopra’s infinite wisdom, boundless curiosity and ability to connect with people make him an exciting addition to the podcasting space,” Chris Corcoran, chief content officer, Cadence13, said in a statement. “This will be Deepak in a way you haven’t heard before, and we are thrilled to add his singular voice to our powerful and diverse lineup.”
Chopra has authored 88 books, including dozens of New York Times’ Best Sellers, which have been translated into over 43 languages. Time Magazine named him in its Top 100 Heroes and Icons of the last century.
The 72-year-old is no rookie when it comes to the digital era, either. Last year, Chopra created and launched an app called, JIYO, aimed to help users live a happier, healthier and more active lifestyle, and also partnered with VR content studio, Wevr, to create the first-ever meditation experience through virtual reality.
Chopra will be honored with an award at the First World Brain Expo and 16th Annual World Congress of Society Brain Mapping and Therapeutics at the Los Angeles Convention Center next week.
