Tel Aviv Institute co-founder Hen Mazzig has a new YouTube series launching April 2 touting an impressive cast.

“And They’re Jewish” is an upcoming online series featuring 20-minute episodes highlighting prominent Jewish figures from across a number of industries. Among the expected interviewees is Debra Messing, Emmanuelle Chriqui and Mayim Bialik.

“Jewish people have shaped every corner of culture, yet our stories are often told through someone else’s lens. And They’re Jewish is about reclaiming that narrative – showcasing the artists, chefs, actors, and creators whose work you love, but whose Jewish identity you may not have known,” Mazzig said. “This series isn’t just about visibility; it’s about celebrating the depth, diversity, and undeniable impact of Jewish voices in every space.”

The series will explore the unique stories of the various individuals chosen to be interviewed. Mazzig’s project will air weekly on his YouTube channel. The series was announced at ADL’s “Never is Now” summit – the world’s largest conference tackling antisemitism.

“’And They’re Jewish’ is a crucial cultural project at a time when Jewish voices need to be heard more than ever. Hen has created something truly special—an honest, heartfelt series that showcases the depth, diversity, and humanity of Jewish identity,” Chriqui added. “In a time of rising Antisemitism, it’s vital to share real stories that challenge stereotypes and remind the world of the richness of Jewish culture and experience. I’m honored to be part of this project.”

Aside from Messing, Chriqui, and Bialik, other prominent industry members being interviewed include Brett Gelman, Ari Dayan, Alexandra Socha, Etai Benson, Zoe Buckman and Rachel Simon. Watch the trailer for the series below.
