‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’ Team Assembles in New Trailer (Video)

“Arrow”-“The Flash” spinoff to premiere in January on The CW

DC is assembling its “Legends of Tomorrow” and The CW has released a new 3-minute long trailer for its midseason superhero spinoff drama.

The show gathering together heroes and villains of the “Arrow” and “The Flash” universes was just given a Thursday, January 21 premiere date.

Wentworth Miller, Victor Garber, Caity Lotz, Brandon Routh and Arthur Darvill are among the large ensemble cast.

The newest trailer delves deep into the backstories of each of the team members and their adventures through time.

Darvill’s character, Rip Hunter, gets particular focus as he’s the man who assembles the eight-member team in order to stop Vandal Savage (Casper Crump), a supervillain who takes over the whole planet unless they go back in time and stop him.

The trailer also features brief cameos from “Arrow” favorites Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) and Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy).

The spinoff’s characters are expected to figure prominently in the “Arrow”-“The Flash” crossover event set to air on Tuesday, Dec. 1 and Wednesday, Dec. 2.

“Legends of Tomorrow” will premiere Thursday, Jan. 21 at 8 p.m. on The CW, followed by the Season 3 premiere of “The 100.”
