Skydance Productions has named Dana Goldberg its chief creative officer, a promotion that gives her oversight of the production company’s film and television operations. Goldberg was previously president of production, overseeing the company’s work on films such as “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” and “World War Z.”
Skydance, founded by billionaire David Ellison, launched a television division in April and hired former Fox executive Marcy Ross to run it.

Goldberg will now manage not just Skydance’s upcoming film productions — which include the next “Mission: Impossible” film and a reboot of “The Terminator” — but any TV productions Ross brings to bear.
Goldberg joined Skydance from Village Roadshow, where she was president of production and executive-produced “I Am Legend” and “Happy Feet.”
“Since her arrival at Skydance, Dana has proven herself to be an incredibly gifted and talented creative partner and friend,” Ellison said in a statement. “Her work has been instrumental in Skydance’s success, and I am thrilled to expand our relationship as Skydance continues to grow its business.”
