It only took four episodes, but pudgy late-night host James Corden has stripped down to his underpants for the sake of comedy.
The new host of CBS’s “The Late Late Show” convinced David Beckham to join him in the underwear ad spoof, which leaves very little to the imagination. The black-and-white faux commercial opens on the tatted-up, rock-solid Beckham. The soccer star is soon joined by the pasty, soft British entertainer, who is clearly anything but shy.
Corden poses with Beckham and even holds a blow dryer for the male model while the two swap lines. Beckham touts that his boxer briefs make him feel “secure,” “free” and “alive.” Corden counters with the following adjectives about his choice tighty-whities: “supported,” “cradled” and “sexually aroused.”
To the last one, Beckham breaks character to ask, “Excuse me?”
“You heard me,” Corden said, finishing the spot: “It’s underwear for anyone with a great body — and David Beckham.”
The pre-taped sketch airs on Monday’s “Late Late Show.”
