Country singer Daryle Singletary died at the age of 46.

The cause of death was not immediately reported, but it was unexpected. The singer died at his home in Nashville on Monday morning.

Born in Cairo, Ga, Singletary was best known for his songs “I Let Her Lie” and “Amen Kind of Love,” both reaching No. 2 on the Hot Country Songs charts. He released seven albums overall, with his most recent being 2015’s “There’s Still a Little Country Left.”

He was one of the best men we’ve had the privilege to meet and work with in this business, both professionally and personally. On Monday, many in the country music community paid tribute to Singletary on social media, including Charlie Daniels and Travis Tritt.
