Newcomer Daniele Watts has joined the ever-burgeoning cast of Quentin Tarantino's "Django Unchained," her representative said Friday.
Watts is making her big-screen debut this year. In addition to her minor role as Coco in The Weinstein Co.'s "Django," she will also appear in the indie films "Star Power" and "The Bloody Indulgent." Watts has had small roles in TV shows "Cold Case," "Castle" and "90210."

"Django Unchained" is in pre-production and due in theaters later this year.
Jamie Foxx has the title role of Django, a freed slave who is befriended by a German dentist-turned-bounty hunter. The bounty hunter, played by Christoph Waltz, helps Django free his wife from the evil plantation owner Calvin Candie, played by Leonardo DiCaprio.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Kurt Russell, Samuel L. Jackson, Kerry Washington, Todd Allen and Don Johnson also star.
"Django Unchained" will shoot in New Orleans and is scheduled to be released on Christmas Day 2012.
Tarantino wrote and is directing the movie.
Stacey Sher, Pilar Savone and Reginald Hudlin are producing.
The Weinstein Co. will release "Django Unchained" domestically. Sony Pictures will handle it internationally.
