Ratings: ‘The Voice’ and ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Finales Split Demo and Viewers

Two big reality competitions came to a close on Tuesday, as NBC’s “The Voice” topped the key ratings demo and ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars” brought in the most total viewers.

For CW, “The Flash” finale ticked down seven percent from last week.

NBC was first in ratings with a 2.4 rating/8 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 10.1 million, according to preliminary numbers. Following a rerun, Part 2 of “The Voice” finale at 9 p.m. earned a 2.8/9 — down 15 percent from last spring — and 11.4 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 2.2/7 and first in viewers with 11.2 million. “The Bachelorette” at 8 received a 1.9/7 and 7 million viewers. “DWTS” at 9 posted a 2.3/7 — down just four percent from last year’s finale Part 2 — and primetime-best 13.3 million viewers.

Fox was third in ratings with a 1.3/4 and fourth in viewers with 3.4 million. “Hell’s Kitchen” at 8 got a 1.2/5 and 3.5 million viewers. A second hour at 9 had a 1.3/4 and 3.3 million viewers.

The CW was fourth in ratings with a 1.0/3 and fifth in viewers with 2.7 million. “The Flash” at 8 received a 1.4/5 and 3.7 million viewers. At 9, “iZombie” had a 0.7/2 and 1.8 million viewers.

CBS and Univision tied for fifth in ratings, both with a 0.9/3. CBS was third in total viewers with 7.6 million, airing entirely reruns; Univision was sixth with 2.3 million.

Telemundo was seventh in ratings with a 0.6/2 and in viewers with 1.4 million.
