“Dancing With the Stars” transported fans back to their favorite movie moments on Monday with a special Hollywood-themed episode.
One notable absentee from the “Famous Dance” night was co-host Erin Andrews, who was tied up over at Fox covering baseball’s American League Championship Series and had Leah Remini fill in for the second consecutive year.
Fan favorites Bindi Irwin and Derek Hough channeled their inner Jennifer Grey and Patrick Swayze dancing to “(I Had) The Time Of My Life” from “Dirty Dancing.” The pair nailed the beloved movie’s famous lift, with judges calling it “blindingly brilliant,” “so fun” and “amazing.”
“You make my job easy,” Carrie Ann Inaba told them.
Another hot couple was Hayes Grier and Emma Slater, who performed “You’re The One That I Want” from “Grease” — even though the young contestant has never actually seen the movie.
To add even more pressure, Monday’s guest judge was the film’s female lead, Olivia Newton-John, who compared the YouTube star to John Travolta by calling him “baby John.”
