Ratings: ‘Dancing With the Stars’ Season 24 Premiere Whirls ABC to Viewer Victory

“The Voice” hands NBC top slot among adults 18-49

The Season 24 debut of “Dancing With the Stars” handed ABC a total-viewer victory on Monday, though NBC’s “The Voice” spoiled the Disney broadcaster’s party among adults 18-49.

NBC was first in ratings with a 1.9 rating/7 share in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and second in total viewers with an average of 8.7 million, according to preliminary numbers. “The Voice” at 8 p.m. earned a 2.4/9 and 10.6 million viewers. “Taken” at 10 received a 1.0/4 and 4.8 million viewers.

ABC was second in ratings with a 1.6/6 and first in viewers with 9.2 million. “DWTS” at 8 scored a 2.0/7 and 11.9 million viewers. At 10, “Quantico” managed a 0.8/3 and 3.6 million viewers.

CBS was third in ratings with a 1.1/4 and in viewers with 5.6 million. “Kevin Can Wait” at 8 had a 1.1/4 and 5.9 million viewers. At 8:30, “Man With a Plan” got a 1.0/4 and 5.4 million viewers. “Superior Donuts” at 9 received a 1.0/4 and 5.3 million viewers. At 9:30, “2 Broke Girls” closed the sitcom block to a 1.0/3 and 4.6 million viewers. “Scorpion” at 10 finished primetime with a 1.1/4 and 6.3 million viewers.

Fox was fourth in ratings with a 0.8/3 and in viewers with 3.1 million. At 8, “24: Legacy” had a 0.8/3 and 3.3 million viewers. “APB” at 9 got a 0.7/2 and 2.9 million viewers.

Telemundo was fifth in ratings with a 0.6/2, but seventh in viewers with 1.4 million.

Univision and CW tied for sixth in ratings, both with a 0.5/2. Univision was fifth in total viewers with 1.7 million, CW was sixth with 1.5 million.

For CW, “Supergirl” at 8 received a 0.6/2 and 2 million viewers. “Jane The Virgin” at 9 settled for a 0.3/1 and 903,000 viewers.
