Cher is adding even more sparkle (and probably an amazing wig) to ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars.”

The competition announced the news on Monday’s show. The iconic pop star will open the Monday, Nov. 4 episode with a performance of her hit song, “Believe,” then she will join the judging panel. At the end of the episode, Cher will perform her new single, “I Hope You Find It,” from her latest album, “Closer to the Truth.”

Cher, along with judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba, will critique and score the the Top 7 couples in two rounds of dance. The first round will have each couple perform a style it has never done before. Round 2 will pit the six remaining duos in a “dance off” with the winning couples earning extra points for the night’s overall score.

Over nearly five decades, Cher has had several hit songs, albums and concert tours. She is an Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe and People’s Choice Award winner.

ABC and “DWTS” producer BBC Worldwide Productions is clearly hoping the star’s guest turn will give it a bump in the ratings. Last Monday’s episode scored a 2.0 rating in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic and 13.4 million viewers in the final ratings.
