‘Daily Show’ Adds Hasan Minhaj, Trevor Noah to News Team

Minhaj will debut on Comedy Central show in November, Noah in December

The Best F*&#ing News Team Ever just added a couple more besties.

Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show With Jon Stewart” has added Hasan Minhaj and Trevor Noah to its news team, the network said Friday.

Minhaj will make htrevor noahis “Daily Show” debut in November, with Noah coming aboard the following month.

Minhaj (pictured above), who’s joining the team as a correspondent, was host of the documentary special “Stand Up Planet,” which aired on PBS, Pivot, KCET and Link TV. In addition to his digital series “The Truth With Hasan Minhaj” he’s also appeared on Netflix’s revival of “Arrested Development,” HBO’s “Getting On” and Comedy Central’s “@midnight.”

South African comedian Trevor Noah (pictured at left), who’s joining the team as a contributor, is also the star of the one-man show “Trevor Noah: The Racist,” and has appeared on “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno” and “Late Show With David Letterman.”

The pair join current news-team members Samantha Bee, Jordan Klepper, Jason Jones, Jessica Williams, Lewis Black, John Hodgman,
Al Madrigal, Aasif Mandvi, Kristen Schaal and Larry Wilmore — though Wilmore is leaving the show at the end of the year to launch “The Minority Report With Larry Wilmore” in January.
