The Daily Caller was widely criticized on Twitter on Wednesday for its attempt to joke about the Syrian refugee crisis via attractive Syrian women.
The conservative news site published “13 Syrian Refugees We’d Take Immediately,” displaying beautiful Syrian women whom they deem should be let into the U.S.
The story was an attempted play at humor in light of the 13 U.S. governors who’ve said they won’t permit refugees into their states.
“They are Syria-sly hot,” the story said.
And Twitter is Syria-sly pissed.

The Daily Caller didn’t immediately respond to TheWrap’s request for comment.
