Like father, like son?
The CW’s upcoming superhero series “The Flash” has found its role for John Wesley Shipp, who played the speedy, red-tighted hero in CBS’s “The Flash” in the 1990s.
In a move that’s perhaps not surprising, Shipp has been cast as Henry Allen, the father of Barry Allen, AKA the Flash, who’s being played by “Glee” alum Grant Gustin.

The series, which follows scientist Barry Allen, who’s transformed into the fastest man alive through a freak accident, also includes Candice Patton, “Law & Order” alum Jesse L. Martin, Rick Cosnett, Danielle Panabaker and Tom Cavanagh among its cast.
