The CW is taking a page out of “Freaky Friday” for its upcoming “Elseworlds” crossover.

A new poster for the three-night “Arrowverse” event revealed Grant Gustin and Stephen Amell wearing the other actor’s superhero costume, potentially hinting that the December crossover will see the two swap roles, with Amell portraying The Flash and Gustin as the Green Arrow.

Amell shared the poster on his Twitter account, writing “My name is Barry Allen and I am the fastest man alive.”

In DC Comics lore, “Elseworlds” was the title used for a specific imprint that featured storylines that existed outside of the regular continuity. Having Amell play The Flash and Gustin portray Green Arrow would fit perfectly in this timeline, as does the tagline: “Destiny Will Be Rewritten.”

On Monday, Amell also shared the first look at Tyler Hoechlin’s all-black Superman suit. Elizabeth Tulloch will also be in the crossover as Lois Lane.

The event will also serve as the debut of Ruby Rose’s out superhero Batwoman. Other new cast members include Jeremy Davies as Dr. John Deegan, LaMonica Garrett as The Monitor, and Cassandra Jean Amell as  Nora Fries, wife of Mr. Freeze.

The event will cause a few shakeups to the network’s regular schedule. “The Flash,” which usually airs on Tuesdays, will kick off the three-night crossover on Sunday, Dec. 9, followed by “Arrow” on its regular Monday night, and then “Supergirl” — which airs on Sundays this season — in a special slot on Tuesday.
