The CW has ordered the new drama shows "The 100," "The Tomorrow People," "Star-Crossed" and "Reign." It also renewed the freshman series "The Carrie Diaries" and announced a fourth season of "Nikita."

The announcements came a week ahead of the network's upfront presentation to advertisers, where it will unveil its full 2013-14 slate.

A spaceship housing the lone human survivors sends 100 juvenile delinquents back to Earth to investigate the possibility of re-colonizing the planet. The series is  based upon the forthcoming "The Hundred" book series, written by Kass Morgan.
