The CW's upcoming season is beginning to look a lot like a big ol' reunion.
The network has greenlit a handful of new series, and a couple of them bear some familiar names for those familiar with the CW's previous incarnation, the WB.
"Ringer," which was originally conceived as a CBS pilot, will feature former "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" star Sarah Michelle Gellar as a woman who assumes the identity of her twin sister after witnessing a murder, only to discover that her sibling's seemingly tranquil life is actually as fraught with danger as her own.

The series, which also stars Ioan Gruffudd and Kristoffer Polaha, is produced by CBS Television Studios and Warner Bros. Television in association with ABC Television Studios and Brillstein Entertainment. Pam Veasey, Peter Traugott and Richard Shepard are serving as executive producers.
Meanwhile, "Dawson's Creek" creator Kevin Williamson is returning to his old stomping ground with "The Secret Circle," a supernatural drama based on the L.J. Smith book series of the same name.
The series, which is co-executive produced by Williamson, will chronicle a young woman's discovery that she's a member of a secret coven of witches, and also holds the key that will unlock a battle of good versus evil.
The network has also picked up "Hart of Dixie," a new vehicle for former "The O.C." actress Rachel Bilson. The series, which will once again pair Bilson with "O.C." alum Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage — who serve as co-executive producers — casts Bilson as a New York City doctor who relocates to the rural South and struggles to acclimate to her new surroundings.
CW has also picked up the reality series "H8er," hosted and co-executive produced by Mario Lopez, which will feature celebrities meeting their "haters" in an effort to win them over.
In returning-series news, TheWrap has learned that young-adult drama "One Tree Hill" has been given the go-ahead for another season, and the espionage thriller "Nikita," which debuted in September, has been waved through for a second season.
