Ashton Kutcher, ‘Melrose Place,’ part of fall plans.

Sources close to CW say the network has picked up three dramas for next season, “The Beautiful Life,” “Melrose Place” and “The Vampire Diaries.”

Produced by Ashton Kutcher’s Katalyst Films, “The Beautiful Life” focuses on the lives and careers of fashion models. Sara Paxton (“Last House on the Left”) and Ben Hollingsworth (“The Line”) are series stars.

Arriving from CBS TV Studios, “Melrose Place” is executive produced by Todd Slavkin and Darren Swimmer (“Smallville”), with Sydney Andrews and Thomas Calabro from the original version also casts in the remake.

The high-school-set “Vampire Diaries” is produced by Kevin Williamson (“Dawson’s Creek,” “I Know What You Did Last Summer”)

The CW previously announced pickups for “America’s Next Top Model,” “Gossip Girl,” “One Tree Hill,” “Smallville,” “Supernatural” and “90210.”

The network will give its upfront presentation Thursday in New York.
