Elizabeth Vargas, former "World News" anchor and current "20/20" host, did a segment on Michael Douglas' 10-year-old divorce settlement– and what it means for his cut of the proceeds from "Wall Street 2" — while filling in for Robin Roberts on ABC's "Good Morning America."
One slight problem: Vargas once dated Douglas.
After the network was called out, ABC issued this statement (via the New York Post): "It was a mistake. It should have been disclosed. Elizabeth did tell her executive producer she had dated Michael, but he made the decision she should host the segment. George [Stephanopoulos] should have done it."
ABC added that Vargas "did a fair and unbiased job."
