Courtney Love Cobain warned young girls moving to Hollywood about Harvey Weinstein during a red carpet interview… 12 years ago.
In 2005, the singer-actress was interviewed on the red carpet while attending Comedy Central’s roast of Pamela Anderson and was asked by comedian Natasha Leggero if she had advice for a young girl moving to Hollywood.
“Um…” Love hesitated, looking off camera for direction. “I’ll get libeled if I say it.”
She then quickly turned to Leggero and said, “If Harvey Weinstein invites you to a private party in his Four Seasons [hotel room], don’t go.”
When the old clip surfaced on TMZ, Love tweeted, “Although I wasn’t one of his victims, I was eternally banned by CAA for speaking out against #HarveyWeinstein #rape.”

Weinstein was fired from The Weinstein Company last week after several women came forward to accuse him of sexual misconduct including harassment and rape. A representative for Weinstein did not immediately respond to The Wrap’s request for comment, but has said that, “Any allegations of non-consensual sex are unequivocally denied by Mr. Weinstein. Mr. Weinstein has further confirmed that there were never any acts of retaliation against any women for refusing his advances.”
