Ridley Scott’s ‘The Counselor’ Trailer: Sex, Drugs and … a Cheetah? (Video)

Michael Fassbender, Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and John Leguizamo are among the fall thriller's star-studded cast

The second trailer for Ridley Scott's "The Counselor" hit the web on Thursday, and its ominous opening scene may create chills by the closing one.

In that initial shot, the counselor (Michael Fassbender) tells fiancé Laura (Penelope Cruz) that he intends to love her until he dies. She replies, "Me first."

Considering the plot is about a lawyer who finds himself involved in drug trafficking, you just know one of them is going to make good on that promise.

Over the course of the movie, the counselor will face moral decisions that will take him completely by surprise, Reiner (Javier Bardem) promises in the trailer. Clearly, Fassbender's character does not make all the right ones.

The film also stars Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz, John Leguizamo and some sort of a leopard or cheetah.

20th Century Fox trafficks "The Counselor" into theaters Oct. 25.
