The Westboro Baptist Church continued to find tragedies to exploit for publicity this week when the Topeka, Kan. based anti-gay group announced plans to picket the funeral of "Glee" star Cory Monteith.
Monteith was found dead in his Vancouver hotel room on Saturday. He was 31.
Although the show "Glee" features many homosexual characters, Monteith's Finn Hudson was heterosexual. Off-screen, Monteith was also straight.

However, that did not stop the Westboro Baptist Church from tweeting a series of homophobic remarks after news broke that the actor had died.
"Westboro praises God for his righteous judgments. Hell won’t be gleeful for #CoryMonteith – he taught millions to sin," the quasi-religious group tweeted.
It added that the actor's death was a punishment because he supported his openly gay co-star Chris Colfer.
In the past, the group has drawn a tenuous connection between homosexuality and national tragedies such as the school shooting in Newtown, Conn. last year and celebrity deaths such as that of avowed heterosexual and "Jackass" star Ryan Dunn.
