Condé Nast Entertainment Group named Fred Santarpia chief digital officer, the magazine behemoth announced Wednesday morning.
“Fred was a key executive and played an instrumental role in building VEVO, one of the most successful and groundbreaking digital businesses,” Dawn Ostroff, the entertainment group's president, said in a statement. “His knowledge and expertise will be extraordinary assets as we build and extend our iconic brands onto various digital platforms.”

Before VEVO, Santarpia worked for Universal Music Group, where he held a variety of senior level positions during his seven-year tenure with the company Santarpia graduated from Villanova University and earned a master’s degree from Boston University.
