Ex-"Tonight Show" host Conan O’Brien wraps up his "Legally Prohibited From Being Funny on Television Tour" Monday night in Atlanta.
While he’s in town, O’Brien stopped by the headquarters of Turner Broadcasting where he talked to staffers and let one lucky lady test the company’s sexual harassment policy.
An insider at Turner told us that Conan spent about an hour answering questions, signing autographs, and shaking hands. The comedian joked that his greeting strategy is start by hugging everyone before gradually shifting to only hugging girls.
Our source said Conan made a point to emphasize his approachability. At one point Conan was interrupted when Turner Entertainment Networks President Steve Koonin’s phone rang. Conan teasingly took Koonin’s phone from him while pretending to be incensed by the disruption.
Conan was coy when staffers asked him about plans for his first TBS broadcast. He wouldn’t give any information about which guests he plans to bring on his premiere show on November 8th.
Before he left, Conan asked the crowd if they thought he should keep the beard he’s been growing since he left the "Tonight Show" in January. Everyone in the room except for one woman voted to have him keep his facial hair.
Conan invited the lone holdout on stage and asked her to feel his beard. Our source said this turned into a full-on "rub-fest" with the woman running her fingers through the hair on Conan’s face, head and chest.
Sounds like Conan definitely managed to convert her into a fan of his scruff.
