Raging ‘Conan’ Set to be Conquered by ‘The Help’ at Weekend Box Office

Lionsgate’s remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger classic will likely battle “Apes” for second place; “Fright Night,” “One Day” and “Spy Kids 4” also debut

"Conan the Barbarian" is set to be conquered by the the travails of polite Southern Society this weekend, as projections suggest that the multi-racial drama, "The Help," will lead the domestic market in its second weekend.

The DreamWorks drama — No. 2 at the box office during its opening weekend — is expected to rise to No. 1 this weekend, taking in a projected $20 million. It grossed $25.5 million in its debut last weekend.

Meanwhile, debuting in 3,015 theaters in the U.S. and Canada, "Conan the Barbarian" is a remake of the 1982 movie that launched Arnold Schwarzenegger's career.
