“Community” star Donald Glover posted a series of odd and slightly troubling Instagram photos Monday night touching on his music career, masturbation fantasies and why he’s leaving the NBC sitcom.
“I didn’t leave ‘Community’ to rap. I don’t wanna rap. I wanted to be on my own,” Glover said.
In a series of seven Instagrams, the 30-year-old multihypenate expressed feelings of loneliness, insecurity and fear, and how much he cares about what other people think of him — all written on Marriot stationary.

“I’m afraid my show will fail,” he wrote, referring to “Atlanta,” which he is currently developing for FX and which was part of the reason why he reduced his work on NBC’s “Community” down to five episodes in the upcoming 13-episode fifth season.
“I’m afraid Dan Harmon hates me,” Glover wrote about his usually outspoken “Community” boss’s reaction to his departure. “I’m afraid I’ll regret this.”

His next album under his stage name of Childish Gambino, “Because the Internet” is scheduled to be released in late December, though Glover noted that there was significant resistance from his record label about the timing:
“The label doesn’t want me to release in December cause it’s not a holiday record and I’m not a big artist.”
During his confession, Glover did manage to get a crack in at another actor-musician who apparently represents everything that Glover does not want his career to be:
“I’m afraid I’ll be Tyrese.”
Glover’s reps did not respond to TheWrap’s requests for comment.
