In the wake of his gruesome suicide attempt, Artie Lange has yet to be seen in public, much less return to work.
Nevertheless, Comedy Central plans to premiere the troubled comedian’s latest stand-up special, “Jack and Coke,” on Saturday.
The special was taped at New York’s Gotham Comedy Club last May, when Lange appeared to be clean, healthy, even tan.
According to a spokesperson for the network, Comedy Central licensed the special in November, a month before Lange took a leave of absence from the “Howard Stern Show.”
In October, Lange missed more than a week of work after having what he described as a “mini-nervous breakdown” and near-relapse into drug addiction.
