After over half a decade of outrageous Halloween costumes, actor Colton Haynes (“Glee,” “The Flash”) took on his biggest transformation project yet: Miss Piggy. With two days’ worth of work behind the look, he sought to top every costume he’s done in the past. TheWrap takes a look back at his history of creative costumes and multiple looks over the past five years.
Back in 2011, Haynes hung out with “Teen Wolf” co-star and fellow CW superhero, Tyler Hoechlin, as he dressed as Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh.
Haynes stepped his game up in 2012, decking out in all white as albino Jeremy Reed from the film “Powder.”
Also that year, Haynes snagged a kids’ Nemo costume to celebrate the announcement of animated sequel “Finding Dory.”
Haynes’ 2013 duo, Merv and Marg, baffled fans with their origin. That’s because they basically have none: they’re just funny old folks that he made up for Halloween.
As the years went on, the prosthetics got even more insane. Haynes stepped up his game as Princess Fiona from “Shrek” in 2014.
There were plenty of poor unfortunate souls to torture on Halloween of 2015. Haynes went all out as Ursula the Seawitch from “The Little Mermaid” with another team of makeup artists.
After a year of drama, break-ups and make-ups, Miss Piggy had been laying low and getting her career in order. So Haynes went to great lengths to let the long-time diva know that he’s still thinking of her. The costume’s total work time was over two days, which included the molding of prosthetics and hours of application. With an added gigantic fake chest, Haynes’ Halloween look stole the night once again in 2016.
Haynes’ outfits could be considered cartoonish, but in 2017 he took that literally with a Marge Simpson outfit complete with a prosthetic face.
