“Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” writer and executive producer Colin Trevorrow has released the first footage of the upcoming film, in which fans can see Chris Pratt petting what looks like a Baby Blue.
The footage appears to place inside the Jurassic Park, with Owen Grady (Pratt) interacting with an adorable baby Velociraptor. Whether it’s actually an offspring of Blue, the velociraptor that helped save the gang and ran off into the night at the end of “Jurassic World,” remains a mystery.
The upcoming film, set for a release on June 22, 2018, will be directed by J. A. Bayona, with Bryce Dallas Howard and Chris Pratt both set to return for the sequel. Steven Spielberg and “World” director Trevorrow will executive produce the new “Jurassic” movie.

Trevorrow’s “Jurassic World” counts as the second highest-grossing opening weekend of all time domestically, behind “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” Internationally, it comes in third after “The Fate of the Furious” and “The Force Awakens.”
The film has made $1.67 billion at the worldwide box office, passing “Marvel’s The Avengers” to become the fourth-highest-grossing movie in history.
In response to the footage, many fans expressed their excitement.
“I WANT A THOUSAND. This clip settles so many doubts and fears I had about this film. OH MY GOD,” wrote one fan.
“Not gonna lie: little misty eyed right now. I didn’t know #BabyBlue was even a thing to expect. Now I want one!” wrote another, while a third said, “Mind blowing. Thank you Colin.”
