Colin Quinn is taking his one-man show to Broadway, to be directed by Jerry Seinfeld.
"Colin Quinn Long Story Short" will begin an 11-week run at the Helen Hayes Theater Nov. 9, with previews beginning Oct. 22. The show recaps 2,000 years of human history in 75 minutes. It ran in an off-Broadway engagement, also directed by Seinfeld, this summer.
Quinn performed "Colin Quinn: An Irish Wake" at the Helen Hayes Theater in 1998 and in an interview with the New York Times, said he is excited to return.
“I’m quietly becoming New York’s premiere actor,” Quinn said. “People don’t understand. They have me pigeon-holed as a comedian. I’m like Elaine Stritch.”
