Colin Hanks will join Showtime's "Dexter" in its sixth season, playing an expert on ancient artifacts who gets linked to a series of, you guessed it, horrific murders.
That announcement, coupled with Showtime's promise that "hell breaks loose" next season, suggests either that Dexter will try to solve occult-themed killings — or that your guess is as good as mine.
Hanks, coming off the scrappy-but-cancelled Fox show "The Good Guys," will appear in all twelve episodes of the new season. It will shoot in Los Angeles next month and air in the fall.
