Angels Memorial Hospital is undergoing some staffing changes, as “Code Black” regulars Raza Jaffrey (above, far left) and Bonnie Sommerville (above, second from left) will not be returning to the CBS show for season 2.
Sources close to production on the medical drama tell TheWrap that other characters will be added as part of a second season relaunch, but no specific names have been attached yet.
One actor who will be getting more screen time is Boris Kodjoe, who’s reportedly getting promoted from recurring to regular status.
“Code Black” isn’t the only medical drama with departing doctors.
Sara Ramirez will not return to ABC’s “Grey’s Anatomy” for Season 13 after ten seasons on the show.
